Employment Screening Services (“ESS”) welcomes legal expertise Katie Robinson to their in-house legal and compliance team. Graduating in the top 15% of her class at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Robinson joined ESS immediately after sitting for the Alabama State Bar Exam. “As expected, Katie quickly passed the State Bar and has already started making valuable contributions to the Company,” said Todd Higey, General Counsel for ESS.
ESS provides a broad range of background screening services to help companies hire and retain safe and productive employees. “Our products range from standard criminal and drug searches to more sophisticated intelligence/solutions that assess credentials, monitor ongoing compliance, or analyze social media activity,” added Higey. “The ability to understand and navigate regulations, educate on compliance matters, and facilitate contractual negotiations are all critical value points we bring to our customers.”
Prior to law school, Katie studied Political Science at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. While in law school, she clerked at the Birmingham law firm of Shelby Roden, LLC, as well as the Birmingham office of Ogletree Deakins, a firm that specializes in labor and employment law.
