The National Association of Professional Background Screeners
The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) exists to promote ethical business practices, promote compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and foster awareness of issues related to consumer protection and privacy rights within the background screening industry.
Concerned CRA’s is group of like-minded CRA’s (consumer reporting agencies) who are concerned about the future of the employment background screening industry. “Consumer reporting agency” is the technical term for employment background screening firms. This group believes that certain data practices employed by some CRA’s place our profession and consumers at risk and have come together to raise awareness in the background screening industry, the human resources field, and with the public on these important issues.
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), founded in 1997, is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States. WBENC, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit, partners with 14 Regional Partner Organizations to provide its world class standard of certification to women-owned businesses throughout the country. WBENC is also the nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations. WBENC is dedicated to advancing the success of Corporate Members, certified women’s business enterprises (WBEs), and government entities in partnership with its Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs).
Women’s Business Enterprise Council South
Women’s Business Enterprise Council South (WBEC South) is an organization for women business owners interested in promoting, developing and maintaining business relationships with other women business owners, major corporations and governmental agencies. WBEC South is a non-profit organization with a mission to certify bona fide women-owned businesses and to promote the activities directed at the development, establishment, expansion and encouragement of businesses owned by women. WBEC South is a certifying partner organization in the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Through the Council’s partnership with WBENC, its WBE certification process is a nationally recognized and accepted certification. WBEC South includes numerous WBEs and corporate partners located in all regions of the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and the Florida Panhandle.
Greater Women’s Business Council
Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC), started in 2000, is a non-profit organization for certified women’s business enterprises (WBEs) in Georgia, North and South Carolina interested in promoting, developing and maintaining business relationships with major corporations, governmental agencies and other women business enterprises. GWBC is a certifying partner organization of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Women’s Business Council – Southwest
The Women’s Business Council – Southwest (WBCS) was formed in 1995 as the North Texas Women’s Business Council in Dallas. Incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, the mission of the Council was to provide and increase mutually beneficial procurement opportunities for women-owned businesses in corporate, government and institutional arenas, focusing on the north Texas area. The Council continues to carry out that same mission today in a four-state territory, including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance
Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA) is a nationally recognized purchasing council and is a pacesetter in helping women business enterprises grow and develop. WBEA is strongly committed to increasing opportunities for women-owned businesses and providing qualified suppliers to corporate and government purchasers. Headquartered in Houston, the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance serves a 94-county Texas region with programs, activities, and educational opportunities designed to support and promote women-owned enterprises. WBEA serves as the third-party certifying organization for women-owned businesses in the 94 Texas counties as an affiliate of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

The Women Presidents’ Organization, WPO, is a non-profit membership organization for women presidents of multimillion-dollar companies. Members of the WPO take part in professionally-facilitated peer advisory groups in order to bring the “genius out of the group” and accelerate the growth of their business. The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association
The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) was founded in 1995 as the National Association of Collection Sites, and has grown to represent over 1300 members, and expanded its scope. DATIA now represents the entire spectrum of drug and alcohol service providers including collection sites, laboratories, consortiums/TPAs, MROs, and testing equipment manufacturers.
DATIA’s current activities and outreach efforts with the business community and federal government to expand the market for workplace drug and alcohol testing services produces growth and increased opportunities for organizations and the industries.
